Of course you would expect a lot of green in the garden!  Green is the predominant color out in nature and in the garden, especially in the spring time!  Look at the rich shades of green on this rose bush in Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s garden!

The large Oak trees in Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s garden also impress with beautiful pastel green flowers and dark green leaves.

Dr. Tae Yun Kim, in her book, “The First Element,” says this about the color green:

“Green strongly influences the heart.  As the middle color of the spectrum, the balance and harmony, green helps alleviate tension.  When a diseased heart condition is due to an excitable nervous or emotional system, psychological or emotional disturbances, green helps restore a balanced state.  It is particularly helpful after shock or a period of prolonged negative emotion.  Positive qualities associated with green are generosity, humility, and cooperation.”

Of course, at Jung Suwon, green belt means, new growth!  After the Jung Suwon warriors go through the rising sun (yellow)  and bright daylight (orange) phases – they will experience beautiful and lasting new growth!

And of course, since I love working with the young warriors at Jung Suwon, here is a picture of me after  Dr. Tae Yun Kim promoted these warriors to green belt, and I got to present them with a medal!
