Dr. Tae Yun Kim emphasizes that nowhere are cycles of change more obvious than in nature.  It doesn’t matter where you are, whether in a temperate climate, the arctic or in the tropics, there is always some sort of change going on in nature.

In Dr. Tae Yun Kim‘s orchard, the almond blossoms are always the first ones to appear.  Here you can see them just barely starting to open.

And no matter what the weather situation is like, they just keep growing.

Almond buds

“We should be like these almond blossoms,” Dr. Tae Yun Kim says, ” No matter what is going on around them, they just keep on flowering.

Almond flowers open

See how beautiful the fully opened almond flowers are?  Still, they will not last, and now when Dr. Tae Yun Kim goes out and looks at her almond trees, this is what she sees:

Almost ready almonds

Almost ready for harvest!  This progressive change in the almond trees reminded me of one of my favorite parts in  Dr. Tae Yun Kim‘s new book, “Seven Steps to Inner Power – How to break through to Awesome!”

“You needn’t hold on to positive or negative conditions as though they will last forever.  Rather, let the flow from yin to yang to yin lead you into harmonious, balanced, progressive change.  Never be afraid of change.  By letting go and listening to your Silent Master, all change should lead you into greater good.  That is the purpose of change and the purpose of life.”  (page 113)

And isn’t this exactly what we can learn through these beautiful trees?
