Blue isn’t a very common color in the garden – but when it’s there – it makes a big impression!  Look at these blue beauties in Dr. Tae Yun Kim’s garden!  They balance out the countless pinks, all variations of red, yellow and white.  So while peacefully enjoying Dr. Tae Yun Kim‘s garden, I was reading the following about the color blue in her book, “The First Element.”

“Blue is a tranquilizer, imparting coolness to your system.  Blue slows down your system so it can heal and mend.  If you have been in an over excited condition emotionally, mentally, or physically, the blue vibration encourages calm peace and quiet.  Taken to the extreme, the blue vibration would produce the withdrawn stillness and quietude of “feeling blue,”  at which time the stimulation of red, “feeling rosy,” is needed.  Positive qualities associated with blue are willpower, aspiration, and reliability.”

Dr. Tae Yun Kim teaches that we need a rainbow of colors in our lives!

And at Jung Suwon, blue belt means deep, calm, peace of mind.  It is symbolic of the vast ocean, that has huge big waves on the surface when a storm comes, but underneath, deep down, it is perfectly calm and still.  And so it is with our emotions at this stage of Jung Suwon training.

Here you can see a Jung Suwon warrior receive his hard-earned blue belt!  He is a very special warrior, as he was born with severe hearing disabilities and heart problems but now, at age 16 and after training for about 8 years, he is a wonderful teenage warrior and demo team member and has earned his blue belt every step of the way!  Congratulations!
