I love winter. Sure, it’s cold, it rains a lot and it’s foggy and dreary. There is a time and season for everything, Dr. Tae Yun Kim emphasizes, there is a time to plough the land, plant the seed, tend to the garden, bring in the harvest. And time to prune! What are you going to prune in your life? Dr. Tae Yun Kim doesn’t only talk about plants here….
And where there used to be brightly colored, sweetly scented roses, this is all you see:
And yet, this garden, and it’s surroundings, are full of surprises. Expect the unexpected, as Dr. Tae Yun Kim tells us!
and my favorites, the Azaleas:
Dr. Tae Yun Kim has imparted to me my love of flowers and gardens, of nature and all God’s creations. Through nature, I have come to understand some great truths:
“True awareness means being right where you are, right now, without fear or worry or obsession about the future or past. When you manage to do that, a wonderful thing happens, you perceive all around you quite clearly. You find yourself knowing what to do – now, ten minutes from now, or tomorrow. Asa result, you consistently find yourself in the right place at the right time. Why? Because living in the present moment is an act of surrender to the greater intelligence of your Silent Master, the greater intelligence of life itself.”
Now, let’s go outside, and let’s enjoy a beautiful garden, or if you do not have access to one, let’s go out into nature and soak in all its goodness!

This is one of my favorite: ““True awareness means being right where you are, right now, without fear or worry or obsession about the future or past. The beauty around me every breath and do I let myself be busy and not be aware or truly live in the NOW and be aware of all around me. Also seeing the roses in their full glory and then pruned back is a great reminder for me, how I must constantly prune. Make room for new .
Thank you Great Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim for teaching and for you have taught me.
