Dr. Kim continues to utilize her resources as a successful business woman to give back to her community!
Last week, Dr. Kim donated $30,000 to the U.S. Taekwondo Grandmasters Society. These funds will be used to help promote the art of Taekwondo throughout the U.S., and to support Grandmasters throughout the country.
In an interview with Soo Kon Kim, the President of the USTGS, Dr. Grandmaster Kim sat down to talk about what motivates her. She shared: “I rejoice in the lessons of pain and hurt. They give me strength and freedom. I love challenges. If anyone tells me that something is impossible for me to do, I roll up my sleeves and get to work! Impossible is NOT in my vocabulary.”
Kim also shared how her diverse background of life experiences all inform her outlook on life. From her troubled upbringing, to her accomplishments as a grandmaster, to her success as a U.S. businesswoman, to her passionate pursuit in motivating others, Dr. Kim’s story is deeply inspirational to those in the Taekwondo community as well as others throughout the world. Dr. Kim’s success should stand as an example to all to continue to persevere, never stop setting nor accomplishing your goals, and enjoy every day in the moment.
Upon her donation, President Soo Kon Kim shared this message to the USTGS and Dr. Kim’s other supporters:
“I, Grandmaster Soo Kon Kim, hope that this article is an inspiration for young people in the world so you might be motivated to become a Master or Grandmaster of Taekwondo, and become the Masters of your lives as Grandmaster Dr. Tae Yun Kim has become.”
Dr. Kim’s involvement in programs such as the USTGS continues to bring inspiration to individuals far and wide!
